Ingredients:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 tablespoon sugar or honey
Instructions:
- In a clean glass jar or bowl, mix 1 cup of all-purpose flour with 1/2 cup of water.
- Add 1 tablespoon of sugar or honey to the mixture.
- Stir well until there are no dry lumps.
- Cover the jar loosely with a lid or a cloth.
- Leave it at room temperature for 24 hours.
- After 24 hours, feed the starter by adding 1/2 cup of flour and 1/4 cup of water. Stir well.
- Repeat the feeding every 24 hours for about 5 to 7 days until it becomes bubbly and has a pleasant sour smell.
- Once ready, you can use it to bake sourdough bread or store it in the fridge and feed it once a week.
