Fried Strawberry Cheesecake SandwichesIngredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 slices of bread
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • Oil for frying
  • Whipped cream, for serving
    Directions
  1. In a mixing bowl, whip together softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until fluffy and smooth.
  2. Take 4 slices of bread and generously spread the cream cheese mixture over them.
  3. Arrange the sliced strawberries evenly on top of the spread and cover with the remaining slices of bread to create sandwiches.
  4. Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: mix granulated sugar and flour in one, pour milk in another, and place breadcrumbs in the third.
  5. One at a time, dip each sandwich into the milk, then coat it thoroughly in the sugar-flour mixture, and finally, press it into the breadcrumbs.
  6. Heat a generous amount of oil in a deep skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
  7. Carefully place the breaded sandwiches into the hot oil, frying until they are a beautiful golden brown, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  8. Once fried, take them out and let them drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  9. Serve the sandwiches hot and add a dollop of whipped cream on top for an extra treat if desired.
