Pop Rocks Jello Shots


Boozy, colorful, and packed with explosive fun—these shots are a guaranteed conversation starter!


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup flavored vodka (e.g., strawberry, blue raspberry, watermelon)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 (3 oz) box Jello (match flavor to vodka)
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2–3 packets of Pop Rocks candy (assorted flavors or to match Jello)
  • Shot glasses or mini plastic cups

Instructions:

  1. Dissolve the Jello:
    • In a heatproof mixing bowl, combine the boiling water with the Jello powder.
    • Stir for about 2 minutes, until the Jello is completely dissolved.
  2. Mix in the Booze:
    • Add the cold water and flavored vodka to the bowl. Stir until fully combined.
  3. Pour and Chill:
    • Carefully pour the mixture into shot glasses or small plastic cups, filling each about ¾ full.
    • Place in the fridge for at least 4 hours, or until the Jello is fully set.
  4. Add the Pop Rocks:
    • Right before serving, sprinkle a generous amount of Pop Rocks on top of each shot.
    • Serve immediately—Pop Rocks will start to pop and melt on contact with the Jello.

⚠️ Tips for Success:

  • Don’t add Pop Rocks too early—they’ll lose their fizz if they sit too long.
  • If you want to keep things less sticky, serve the Pop Rocks in mini pouches or on the side for dipping.
  • For an added flair, rim the cups with corn syrup and dip in crushed Pop Rocks!
